Warning: This is the version of the non-mouse visiting Orlando, so if you have your heart set on learning about Disneyworld you might be a little disappointed. I recently spent a week in Orlando with my husband and the law. We rented a car and managed to make the article good enough, so I will share what we do for you:
Make a plan before you leave home
There is so much information out there on things to do in Orlando and surrounding areasdepending on your interests. Some suggestions include the State / National / Local parks for hiking / picnicking / fishing / canoing, theme park, zoo / animal parks, and recreational facilities such as mini golf and go-karting. Entrance to the theme parks can be very expensive, so a good idea to find out where you want to go first and what shows / rides etc, you need to get maximum results from your day.
You can get travel guides from your local library, bookstore or online. We have a map of our local club / auto CAA AAA until we even know the numbers out for the release of the road. In addition, we purchased Sea World discount tickets from CAA before we leave, saving $ 10 of the gate (they have a ticket discount theme park also).
When you go around the line watch out for timeshare scams offer discount theme park tickets in exchange for going to pitch their real estate. A good site for info Orlando Official Visitor Center page www.orlandoinfo.com
Visit the Official Visitor Center when you arrive there
Just visit the official Visitor Centre when you arrive there (see the address on the site), located on International Drive, which is the main tourist strip. Be aware of other places that call themselves "tourist", they are just trying to sell tickets. Those centers are not official bias, friendly, and helpful. There are also many books and coupons> Magazine that you have to choose here. This visit will help you resolve the things you might want to do. (We have found a coupon for less than half the price of mini-golf course where you go before 4:00). There are also various discount coupons for restaurants and shows the same in different books.
Sea World
We both have interest in the theme park, and is useless because they give you a second day is not included with your admission. You should do is get your ticketactivated before leaving the park on the first table is the ticket gate on the left after you enter each show is a must see in full production. We really enjoy the event Shamu, dolphin and bird performance, and performing sea lions. There is also a giant roller coaster called Kraken, and log-style roller coaster called up from the Journey to Atlantis. There are also the children with a place to eat (they let you bring your own food into the park) and smallrides.
Highlight the other is the Central Restaurant holding company Anheuser Busch enable all adults have some very generous samples of their beer! You can also see the Clydesdales and Dalmatians them here. Shark Attack exhibition should be seen. All in all, the full price for two days of fast (parking extra $ 10 a day but a very short walk from the parking lot).
Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure
There are two parts to the UniversalOrlando: the traditional division in which they show how the film made by a number of theme rides, and the newer Islands of Adventure, which is an amusement park extirpate. Adults or children can spend all day here and full satisfaction. Because they are in the entertainment business, I must say that they are really going on with the appeal.
If you read my article the other day about Overcoming Fear, both have to do is roller coaster Duelling Dragons and the Incredible Hulk. The Hulk really is one of 10 rides in the U.S. - my husband saw on TV. Others to do the Spider-Man 3D simulation up - but do not feel like a simulation for me! Other rides we really enjoy is the Jurassic Park River Adventure and Dr. Seuss Trolly Train Ride. The line up is not bad on the day we went, but if you go at busy times you may be the most important memprioritaskan rides. Universal offers a limited number of Express Plus passallows the holder to delay the most appropriate line and more than rides - they can be purchased at the park.
Lake Kissimmee State Park
We spent the day hiking in the beautiful garden, which is approximately 45 minutes drive from our place to stay near Disney. Very well planned and very proud of the staff working there. There are about 14 miles of hiking trails that we know, and some regions piknik. It's loop to a lookout tower, but keep in mind that this is Florida, so you really only get a good view of some waterlogged soil and grass courts ... but still a good view! I also noticed that many people there fishing.
Central Florida Zoo
We spent a little more than half a day at the zoo. This is a relatively small zoo with about 400 animals and botanical gardens. Not as well developed as other attractions in Orlando, but I just menebak that compared to Sea World, Bush Gardens, and> Disney Animal Park, they may not be able to compete as well. I think this will be a great zoo, if you have young children. You could hardly spend the whole day there, so you can plan something else for the afternoon as well. They do not advertise, but they will give CAA / AAA discount at the gate if you ask.
International Drive
This is one of the main tourist strip, other than Disney and downtown Orlando. There is much to be done here and you have the option to drive or use the tram system planned well and cheap to go up and down the road. We always like to eat in places we do not have in Canada, up to Sonic Drive-Through is new for us. We do not have time to do these things, but in this way Wonderworks, Ripley's Believe It machinery or Not amazing, tons of mini-golf and many, many, places to eat and entertain your family. There are also many hotels and shopping centersproximity.
Other things to do in the Orlando area that we are not going to include: Disney and its many theme parks, Busch Gardens in Tampa (which is based on animal safari park with a roller-coaster of great beauty), Orlando Science Center (which is mostly for children but has an IMAX theater and special exhibitions sometimes), many national parks, and Wet N 'Wild (a water park is popular).
Enjoy your holiday!
